Daybreakers Review!
Daybreakers was a pretty good movie. Definitely one, you should go to with a group of friends, and just have some fun. The idea of a society of vampires is actually pretty cool, and portrayed well in the beginning of the movie. I’m not going to go into too much detail as to what actually happens, because I don’t want to spoil anything, but sadly the ending seemed a bit rushed. Whether they ran out of money, or time, or whatever, it ended too soon. They Definitely could have gone more in depth with the solution, and implementation of the solution, but still, it was a pretty good concept.
If you’ve seen the preview you know that besides the struggle between humans and vampires, there is also a problem of the vampires not getting enough blood and turning into weird bat creatures. Man! Those bat creature things were FREAKY though! One screeched and it literally shook the whole movie theater and made quite a few people jump. (Not me though….. OK, maybe a little.) I really feel like they should have had a more solid role in the movie though.
The visual effects weren’t anything special, they actually used very little CGI in the movie, and from the looks of the CGI they did use, that was probably for the best. At first the movie didn’t seem like it was going to be all that gory, a little bit of blood here and there, but it IS a vampire movie, so that was expected, but as the movie progressed, well…. you’ll just have to go and watch it for yourself to find that part out ;)
You’ve got enemies? Good, that means you actually stood up for something in your life.
